These greeting cards feature some of the most memorable of Mark Twain's quotes on subjects as diverse as liberty, aging, pets, and riding a bicycle. In the spirit of Twain, a committed patron of artisans, they were printed at a small letterpress studio in Brooklyn, New York, on cream laid stock. Eight cards and envelopes per pak. 4-½" x 5-½".

"Before seventy we are merely respected, at best, and we have to behave all the time, or we lost that asset; but after seventy we are respected, esteemed, admired, revered, and don't have to behave unless we want to."

"Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence in society."

"We are called the nation of inventors. And we are. We could still claim that title and wear its loftiest honors if we had stopped with the first thing we ever invented, which was human liberty."
