Classic Kaweco Sport Fountain Pen
$34.95
We first read about this superb writing instrument in the New York Times, in an interview with playwright Jon Robin Baitz, who said of the pen, “I thought it was a perfect little thing….I love its precision, its modesty, its clarity and its minimal fuss. This is the cheaper, more practical version of a Mercedes.” It has all the features we admire, starting with classic good looks and a beautifully smooth “write.” It has a gold-plated medium nib, the body is faceted so it won't roll, it’s lightweight (less than a third of an ounce), the material it's made from looks like Bakelite, the ink flows freely, and its only embellishment is a discreet gold “button” on the end of the cap.
Made by a German company established in 1883, a venerable name in pen circles (we can’t explain the Asian-sounding name nor the moniker “Sport”). Pen comes with a blue cartridge and we include a box of six refill (blue/black) cartridges. Pen color: black or white.
